So I got in from Evo last night. It was fun as hell, and included a buncha-muncha-cruncha sleep deprivation. I got to meet and play people from all over the US and Japan (Mostly Guilty Gear and a little Melty Blood.) Not surprisingly, the Japanese players won a lot of the tourneys, or placed high in them (Especially GGXX, where the difference between America's level and Japan's is much greater.)

But the most fun part was the casuals. Just sitting around and playing people was fun. The main regions I got to play against were NYC, MI, and SoCal (And of course three or four Japenese players.) Plus, as a bonus, I got to practice (and get complimented on) my Japanese. All in all very fun, and I'll definitely go again next year (Hopefully by then I'll have a job.)

Wow. It would seem as though I never really update this thing, huh?

Anyway, this week has been stressful and straining, although believe it or not, it has absolutely nothing to do with the finals which are this week. Finals are a relief. Most of this abnormal stress is sleep loss catching up to me, I think. Although it's difficult to deny that insomnia tends to haunt me, I've never had so much trouble sleeping as the last three months. Even by my standards, the sleep level is low, and this famine of rest is starting to wear down on my nerves and sanity.

Most of the other stuff is background noise. Megagamers was fun today, though I once again got this overwhelming sense that Susannah wasn't exactly having the time of her life. I don't know, maybe I'm paranoid.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAND so ends another boring diversion into my real life.

Sincerely, Joe Pseudonym.

I HATE ME WITH A PASSION

I hate myself right now. ALL that work is GONE. PASSIONATE SELF-HATRED. RAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Okay. So here's the comprehensible version of the story. I've been working all night on my chemistry project and Japanese homework (Mostly the former, but also transferring typing up some of the latter and rechecking it all on the document I did the other bit.) But of course, I just had to leave the whole thing on FROM THE TIME I STARTED WORKING ON BOTH, even knowing that my computer has a history of rebooting spontaneously. Long story short, OpenOffice doesn't have such a good recovery feature, and so I either stay up all night (Literally) doing the work over, or I show up to Japanese with only half my homework or so done, and either way, have to do all my chemistry tomorrow night. Unfortunately, even insomnia and masochism can't make up for more lack of sleep than usual over the past week, and caffiene will just screw me up more at this point. I've got to get all the Z's I can get before school tomorrow. Damn it. And it's practically 2 already. Okay, I'll sleep. I'll just have to do what I can and hope winter_in_asia doesn't kill me with a giant spear or something.
